Mild nose. Peachy, fresh taste with mild oak flavors and a buttery finish. Overall good. Also this wine is good very cold or closer to room temperature. Could pair well with light or medium intensity dishes. Very good alone which says a lot about it.

BV (Beaulieu Vineyard) Coastal Estates Chardonnay, Sonoma, CA 2012

Details
BV or Beaulieu Vineyards
Chardonnay
2012
Vinted and Bottled by Beaulieu Vineyard, Sonoma, CA

Price
Under $2 (purchased at Fry's Marketplace with a 10% off six bottles and $40 off total) as a part of six bottles. The Coastal Estates collection by BV is described by their website as "wines of high quality expression at an exceptional value". Agreed! $11.00 on their website

Our Opinion
This wine is lemon-y with definite oak tones. It is a traditional Chardonnay flavor making it accessible to all Chardonnay lovers. It definitely needs a bit richer foods to pair with it. I think this would pair very well with a cream sauced pasta. I think delicate fish dishes wouldn't stand up to it but maybe lobster or scallops would. I could drink it alone with some buttery crackers.

Sterling Savignon Blanc, Napa Valley 2012

The Details
Sterling Vineyards
Sauvignon Blanc
2012
Vinted and bottled by Sterling Vineyards Sonoma, CA

Price
Under $2 (purchased at Fry's Marketplace with a 10% off six bottles and $40 off total) as a part of six bottles. It is $18.99 a bottle at SterlingVineyards.com.

Our Opinion
Floral and citrus notes are present, as described on the label. Also detected is a hint of rosemary. This will make it a good pair for holiday food. Acidic enough to pair with cheeses and buttery courses and rich or light fish dishes.

Overall a good white wine. Light and easy to drink. No oak flavors. Longer finish that is enjoyable.
